An Australian Native Flower
"This is your life and nobody is going to teach you, no book, no guru. Learn from yourself, not from books. It is an endless thing and when you learn about yourself from yourself, out of that learning wisdom comes" - Krishnamurti in A BAG OF JEWELS
Hibbertia is for people who devour information and philosophies. These people have a great desire to learn, so they are constantly reading books and doing courses. They are very strict with themselves, especially in their pursuit of knowledge, even to the extent that they become fanatical.
The positive aspect of the Hibbertia essence is its ability to aid in the integration of information and ideas with one's experiences and intuition, in order to achieve a balance. As a result, one can accept and trust oneself as well as the knowledge that one has and uses, without wanting to feel superior to others.
Although these people they may seem to integrate all the ideas and information they absorb, it becomes purely "head stuff" - an intellectual exercise. They are not looking for a practical way to use this information but believe they will be better people because they have more knowledge than others. They gather information from here, there and everywhere, grabbing a bit of the philosophies of many different teachers and gurus. As this information doesn't come from their own experiences, the end result is that they feel weighed down by it, without any real understanding or knowledge.
The energy of these people is focused in their heads more than in any other part of their bodies, especially their hearts.
Hibbertia is for people who are inflexible and dogmatic, especially in adhering to their ideas. They also like to be in control, exhibiting a lot of self-denial and self-repression. This rigidity of the mind is often reflected in a stiffness of the body, both of which are manifestations of a lack of flexibility and hardened attitudes.
One of the positive outcomes of this essence is reconnecting the heart and the head. As Gita Bellin writes in AMAZING GRACE "When the heart feels and the mind understands - then we become a whole human being."
Hibbertia essence brings emotional centering, and it helps to drain excess energy from the mental plane in order to balance the emotional plane.
This essence helps regulate and balance the parathyroid glands. Their secretion (parathyroid hormone) controls the metabolism of calcium and phosphorus in the body. Hibbertia can be used when there are problems of softening or rigidity of the bones.
