Jacaranda is a remedy for ditherers; those who are always starting projects but rarely finish them, mainly because they are so easily distracted. They have great difficulty in making decisions, as they constantly change their minds. There is a very scattered feeling about the Jacaranda type. They tend to be all over the place, rushing about here and there.
The Jacaranda type tackles many projects, but lack focus. The projects remain in various stages of incompletion. The home of this person may have a half-painted room or a partly built set of shelves. Yet this type is enthusiastic, inspired and filled with excitement at the idea of a project but just doesn't follow through.
The underlying reason why some people can be so scattered and are always asking others' opinions, is that they have a fear of responsibility and of making mistakes or the wrong choice, or even simply just a fear of making decisions.
Such people often move from house to house. They are insecure about making the right decisions, which leads them to vacillate. At other times they panic, thinking they have made the wrong choice, and so change their minds.
They may change their health practitioners or doctors regularly and often don't complete a course of treatment. They do not flow with life but zigzag through it. Their illnesses are those in which the symptoms change a lot. They tend to be accident prone, as being unfocussed they can be quite clumsy.
Sometimes the scattered energy of Jacaranda manifests in a condition known as hiatus hernia or gastric reflux, where gastric juices escape from the stomach and travel back up the oesophagus, creating much discomfort. It's as if the acid doesn't know where to go. Jacaranda is very effective in addressing this problem.
The positive aspect that the Jacaranda essence may engender is a person who is poised, decisive, clear-headed and quick thinking. These people are prepared to consult others and listen to advice, but then make up their own minds in view of the facts of the situation. They are flexible and can judge whether or not a certain course of action is likely to achieve the desired results. They can put strategies into action and their projects are often successfully completed.
